Is Katy Perry Putting Her Tweets Where Her Mic Is? VIDEO: Watch Perry Cover Gaga! Does it feel like Katy Perry is always on the cusp of the diva debates?

After Perry Tweeted her thoughts on the new Britney Spears vid for “Hold It Against Me”, Perry offered critique advice regarding the use of product placements.

Basically, Perry said she wasn’t against it, but you’ve got to be clever about it – implying that Britney’s plug for her perfume, a makeup brand, and online dating site were not in suitable artistic fashion.  She didn’t flat out call it “cheap” but suggested that the $500,000 that came from the deals could have been used to make the video even better.

After the incident, she told the media to stop pitting artists against each other.

Perhaps, she’s now reconsidering her sparkly-nail polish, finger pointing.

Which is why, during her concert in Paris on Monday, her acoustic cover of “Born This Way” may have been her way of making amends with another artists she has ripped on advised via Twitter.

Last June, Perry took to Twitter to scorn Lady Gaga for the “Alejandro” video, in which Gaga dresses like a nun and snarfs down a rosary. Perry tweeted, “blasphemy as entertainment is as cheap as a comedian telling a fart joke.”

While we don’t hear much of the reversal (other pop artists critiquing the talented Perry), we did catch a revealing photo posted to Twitter by hubby Russell Brand.

It showed Perry with no make-up, presumably first thing in the morning on their honeymoon.

The unflattering photo was later removed by Brand. But we don’t blame a husband for trying. After all, she was born that way.
