Kate Upton's Lawyer, Along with Apple and the FBI, Respond to Nude Photo Leak

Model Kate Upton is now the third celebrity to step forward and confirm the massive nude photo leak that occurred over the weekend.

Upton's lawyer has responded to the hacking in nearly the same manner that Jennifer Lawrence's reps did. "This is obviously an outrageous violation of our client Kate Upton's privacy," her lawyer said in a statement. "We intend to pursue anyone disseminating or duplicating these illegally obtained images to the fullest extent possible."

That statement is similar to the one Lawrence's reps made, echoing especially the threat of pursuing legal action against anyone who posts the stolen photos online.

Actress Mary Elizabeth Winstead also confirmed her photos in the leak, but did so through a series of tweets condeming the attack as "creepy" and noting that she had taken the photos years ago for her husband.

Many have speculated that the leak happened due to a fault in Apple's iCloud storage feature and that the photos may have been stolen by numerous sources over time and collected in an underground trading ring.

Apple has responded to the scandal, saying that they "take user privacy very seriously and are actively investigating this report."

The FBI also made a statement to NBC News about their involvement in the case: "The FBI is aware of the allegations concerning computer intrusions and the unlawful release of material involving high profile individuals and is addressing the matter."
