Kate Middleton Pregnant with Royal Baby #2, Already Hospitalized
by Andy NeuenschwanderIs the world ready for another round of royal baby fever?
Kate Middleton is pregnant with her second child, as confirmed by Clarence House. "Their Royal Highnesses, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, are very pleased to announce that the Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their second child," said today's statement. "The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news."
The new baby will join one-year-old Prince George in his or her rightful place as one of the most powerful babies in the world (except for maybe Blue Ivy).
However, the road will not be easy for Middleton, who suffered from Hyperemesis Gravidarium during her first pregnancy and is facing the same symptoms again. The illness is characterized by nausea, vomiting and an imbalance of electrolytes.
Middleton is already being hospitalized in order to stay hydrated and to ensure that she gets the proper nutrients. The palace has already said that Middleton will not be accompanying her husband on upcoming engagements, and her upcoming schedule will be determined based on her health.
Prime Minister David Cameron already tweeted out his support to the couple, wishing them congratulations on the "happy news."
Assuming that Middleton is already about three months along (the usual time that couples make their pregnancy announcements), the baby is likely due around April of next year.
