Kasey Kahl Of 'Bachelorette' Fame Pleads Not Guilty To Felony Assault

Kasey Kahl Of 'Bachelorette' Fame Pleads Not Guilty To Felony Assault A former contestant on “The Bachelorette” is in trouble with the law lately.

Kasey Kahl, who vied for bachelorette Vienna Girardi’s heart along with all those other hot guys who did exactly the same thing, was arrested in January for getting into a fight outside a Fresno bar.

Earlier this month he was charged with two counts of felony assault for the “drunk and disorderly” fiasco—one charge for felony battery and the other for being totally flippin’ hammered in public.

The incident, in case you didn’t know (how could you not?) involved a woman named Renee Idsinga and her boyfriend Richard Chaney, who were insulted by Kahl. This culminated in Kahl striking Chaney, and giving the lady a good nosebleed when she tried to pull the star (kinda) off of her man.

According to Kahl, however, as well as his very good lawyer, what actually went down was self defense. Kahl claims that the two jumped him for no good reason. The man, and his girlfriend. Jumped Kahl.

Anyway.

So Kahl faces the possibility of eight years in state prison for all this. But what’s the fun part of the story? I’ve been dying to tell you.

When he was arrested, Kahl was “under the influence of liquor, a drug, a controlled substance and toluene (paint thinners).”

Paint thinners! What the… that’d be a weird trip to the bar bathroom. Doesn't anyone just snort crack off the urinal anymore (beside Lilo)?

His attorney has denied that Kahl was huffing turpentine, by the way.

“He is not doing well,” said his attorney. “He is upset he is being charged simply by defending himself.”

Well, best of luck with that, Kahl. But just for future reference—if you’re trying to play yourself off as the injured, attacked party, try not to look so darned happy in future mugshots.
