JWOWW of 'Jersey Shore' is Engaged, Pauly D is Sad

Well folks, it's official: Jenni Farley, aka JWoww, is now engaged. You may commence the cheering or booing depending on which side of the "Jersey Shore" fan/hater fence you stand.

Jwoww and her now fiance Roger Mathews released a statement confirming the news: "We are happy to confirm that the In Touch Weekly news is true: We are officially engaged and look forward to this next chapter in our lives!"

Those who have been watching "Jersey Shore" are familiar with Roger, who has shown up many times on the program over the two and a half years that the couple has been dating. If you were expecting a daring proposal from a big guy like Roger, you were right: he reportedly popped the question while the two were skydiving.

The "Shore" crew has weighed in on the engagement with their congratulations. Snooki, who has a spinoff show with JWoww, was very enthusiastic:
