When 13 Reasons Why producer Selena Gomez recently reignited her relationship with Justin Bieber, some observers were concerned that Selena was getting involved with the bad boy again. Now sources say that Justin has been texting his ex Hailey Baldwin, and Selena is apparently not too happy about it. Some insiders say that the texts were just platonic chatting, but other sources say that the exchange prompted Selena to demand that Justin go to couple counseling with her. All in all, it's not a great sign for a rekindled relationship that's only a few weeks old.

Justin Bieber just wanted to say hello. Although he’s currently dating Selena Gomez again, the “Sorry” singer, 23, recently contacted ex-girlfriend Hailey Baldwin for a quick chat.
“Justin reached out to Hailey. They didn’t talk on the phone and it wasn’t in person, just an exchange of texts,” a source tells Us Weekly exclusively. “Hailey is dating Shawn Mendes. There is nothing going on between her and Justin. She’s not interested in Justin in the slightest and he’s not interested in her.”
The source added: “They’ve both moved on. The messages were platonic, and friendly.”
However, it seems Gomez, 25, wasn’t as indifferent about the communication between Bieber and his ex, 21. A source confirms to Us that after Bieber told Gomez about his conversation with the model, the on-again duo decided to go to couple’s counseling – something that is making the “Wolves” singer’s inner circle feel concerned. “People around Selena are worried about her coupling with Justin and how much stress it could be on her,” adds the insider. “Especially if it’s so tumultuous.”
Bieber and Gomez reunited following her split from The Weeknd in October. Bieber previously dated Baldwin from the end of 2015 through early 2016, and even flaunted their New Year’s Eve trip to Anguilla on social media during that time period. Baldwin’s attention now, however, is on current beau Mendes, 19. “Hailey is really into Shawn and thinks he is the nicest, sweetest guy,” a second insider told Us in November. “They meet up whenever they’re in the same city, FaceTime a lot and text each other several times a day.”
