Justin Bieber Graduated High School While Finishing Album

Justin Bieber Graduated High School While Finishing Album Your typical 18-year-old on the cusp of finishing high school jumps for joy at merely the prospect of not tanking the ACT or SAT and getting into a top-choice college. The prom has been survived, that last slate of finals in the rearview mirror, and plans in place for a cool older sibling to smuggle a certain underage bro or sis some cheap but boozy libations.

Then there's the Justin Bieber Graduation Experience.

Admittedly, the way he completed his education makes all of the above look quite literally like kids' stuff. Australia's Daily Telegraph reports that Bieber completed his high school diploma while polishing off his upcoming album, Believe.

"I passed my test - I'm free," he told the Telegraph. "It was hard doing school and work every day."

Hope you didn't ruin too many Franklins dabbing the sweat from your brow, kid.

Though his career has been his life since he turned 14, Bieber claimed that checking this off the To-Do list is an early "thank you" to the woman without whom none of it could've happened.

No, dingus, not Selena Gomez.

"That was something my mom really wanted me to do, so I had to do it for her," Bieber said. "This kind of lifestyle has given me a different perspective on life. I've been able to travel the world. At school, usually you have to do a lot of writing and reading. I'm really not into that stuff. I like to be out there."

There you have it, kids. From the maw of Bieber: screw reading. Get money.

Y'know, when I graduated high school, my class was grateful for a celebratory lock-in party for the departing grads, complete with some swank raffle prizes. How will Bieber mark the occasion? He's performing live on NBC's two-hour "The Voice" finale alongside Hall & Oates, Flo Rida and Lady Antebellum.
