'Glee' Rumor: Jesse Returns for Rachel in Final Three Episodes, Finale Just in time for Nationals, Jesse (Jonathan Groff) will return to "Glee" for the finale episode to deliver an apology to his former lady Rachel (Leah Michele).

Jesse, a singer with Vocal Adrenaline, is currently Rachel’s rival. His scheme to bring down New Directions was revealed at the end of Season 1. With Nationals approaching, Jesse is set to return for the final three episodes.

TV Line reports that their source says he will apologize, and “perhaps try to get her back.” Not much to work with, but potentially big news for "Glee."

Overall, we think the timing is tricky and suspicious. If the two rekindle their relationship, they will no doubt be pitted against each other at Nationals. And how will this effect Rachel's relationship with Finn (Cory Monteith)? Talk about drama.

While Goff's return on the show may cause consternation for Finn, it sounds like it's welcome news for Leah Michele. Groff and Michele are apparently friends in real life. They worked together on the Broadway production of "Spring Awakening," and have recently been seen hanging out together in L.A.
