Jon Stewart vs. Bill O'Reilly: TV Hosts Set Live Debate

Jon Stewart vs. Bill O'Reilly: TV Hosts Set Live Debate Ali vs. Frazier. The Yankees vs. the Red Sox. Stewart vs. O'Reilly.

With the presidential campaign in full swing and about to enter the debates, things are heating up for the pundits too. "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" and "O'Reilly Factor" are no exceptions, as both have been covering the recent GOP and Democratic National Conventions and all the news that has followed.

So with Barack Obama and Mitt Romney soon to meet in the presidential debates, Stewart and O'Reilly decided to have a little debate of their own. That's right folks: two pundits, two sides, two podiums, one heck of a good time.

Stewart and O'Reilly have a history of good-natured discussion (as good-natured as it can be, anyway) as both have appeared on each others' shows in the past. This will be the first time that the two attempt a full-on debate on neutral ground, however.

O'Reilly says that the debate, which is humorously named "The Rumble in the Air-Conditioned Auditorium," will be "exactly like the presidential debates, but without the phoniness and pomposity." Sounds good to us!

The trash talking has already begun on the website for the event, TheRumble2012.com, where O'Reilly has taken some shots at Stewart's big writing staff, while Stewart promises that the event will be "like the worst Thanksgiving you ever went to." Of course there will be plenty of humor, but you can also expect some serious, hard-hitting analysis from these two, who take politics very seriously despite their aim for entertainment.

The event will stream live online on Oct. 6 at 8PM ET and will cost $4.95 to watch, with half of the proceeds will be going to charity.
