Jon Stewart Officially Announces Final 'Daily Show' Episode, and You Can Win Tickets
by Andy Neuenschwander
It's getting real, you guys: Jon Stewart has officially announced his last day on "The Daily Show."
Stewart announced this week that his final episode of "The Daily Show" will be on August 6. "I will be wearing a suit, I will more than likely be showered," Stewart said. "I’m sorry, I’ll be wearing overalls and I won’t shower."
If it's anything like Colbert's farewell episode, it will likely be a star-studded event with a good number of celebrity cameos. As such, tickets will be hard to come by...but Stewart told the audience last night that there's still a way they can attend.
Fans can enter for a chance to win two tickets, a flight, and a stay at a four-star hotel through Omaze. By making a donation to support New York Collaborates for Autism and other organizations, you'll be entered to win that grand prize.
After August, the baton will be passed to young comedian Trevor Noah, who has had a rough start after some jokes that he made on his Twitter account surfaced that made fun of women, Jews and overweight people. However, the network and other comedians have stood behind Noah, asking "Daily Show" fans not to judge him based on a few jokes.
