Jon Stewart Memorializes 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell'

Jon Stewart Memorializes 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' For so many moments that shifted America's history, there's been a voice to echo the moment across the ages.

For all the past moments that have been stamped in America's consciousness by Edwin R. Murrow, Walter Cronkite, Tom Brokaw, Sam Donaldson and Dan Rather . . . I wouldn't trade Jon Stewart.

And once more, however Stewart might bristle at being considered a journalistic voice of a generation, "The Daily Show" is indeed where many get their news not so much for any more accuracy than "conventional" or "mainstream" journalists, but just because it's more fun that way.

And with the U.S. Armed Forces' controversial "Don't ask, don't tell" policy toward admitting homosexual and transgender men and women into the military, it's time for Stewart to make discrimination fun one last time.
