Johnny Depp Apologizes for Assassination Joke

Johnny Depp has apologized for insinuating that he wanted to assassinate President Trump.

Depp, in a statement to People magazine on Friday, said: “I apologize for the bad joke I attempted last night in poor taste about President Trump.”

“It did not come out as intended, and I intended no malice. I was only trying to amuse, not to harm anyone,” the statement continued.

The “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor made the controversial comment during an appearance at a film festival in the UK.
