Are John Mayer and Katy Perry Back Together?

Despite talk that the two had split, singers John Mayer and Katy Perry aren’t acting like anything is amiss between them.

The “Part of Me” star, 27, has been seen multiple times now with Mayer, 34, including the FYE concert a few nights ago, as well as having a nice dinner at Little Door Restaurant in Los Angeles, more recently.

Reportedly the two have reunited after Perry bombarded Mayer with a series of drunken text messages, begging him to take her back… because what stand-up guy can resist that kind of desperation?

He also reportedly dumped the Perry via e-mail in a really classy maneuver, so if that rumor’s true, then way to go, Perry. That’s a keeper, right there.

Have another shot and text him a sad face and a question mark—he’ll love it.

A friend close to Perry (man, she has a lot of those, and they’re always happy to chat) said of the lovely lady, “She’s been really depressed and needs attention… she really liked [Mayer] and thought it was going to be something serious.”

Apparently Perry is forgetting who she is going after here. The putty-faced crooner has a long history for breaking hearts. Remember that this is John Mayer, who has notoriously made his way through Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Aniston, and Taylor Swift without much pause.

But in an unusual move, after the initial split, Mayer chopped off his Johnny Depp-esque locks. Could the singer have truly been distraught and seeking a medium of release?

Or was his head just getting too heavy to support?
