John Boyega Loses Patience with Racist 'Star Wars' Fans
by EG
Racist and sexist Star Wars fans have a tendency to get vocal whenever the franchise includes a character that's not a white man, and John Boyega has had to put up with a lot of their noise. This week, following the apparent killing by police of a black man in Minneapolis, he decided that he's had enough of it. His angry address on Instagram left no doubt over how he feels about racists. Read on for details.

They don’t have to deal with this in a galaxy far, far away.
John Boyega, who anchored the most recent “Star Wars” films as Finn, has taken to Instagram Live for a fiery address after sparring with fans on Twitter earlier Wednesday.
“I really f–king hate racists,” Boyega, 28, wrote on Twitter early Wednesday. His tweet was immediately met with replies that ran the gamut from unhelpful (“We can’t conquer hatred with hatred”) — to oddly personal (“Nobody loves racists. I’m from Nigeria my ex said she hates whites so I broke up with her”).

Boyega, initially, responded to a few people on Twitter, writing “I am talking about WHITE on BLACK racism,” but by mid-afternoon he had migrated to Instagram Live.
“It’s very very important at this time that we ignore ignorance, and we ignore people that come through and try to make these stations what they’re not,” Boyega said, adding, “A black man was just murdered in cold blood, in the streets, Stateside, again, while saying that he can’t breathe.”
If the Star Wars guy says he hates racists, and your reaction is to get angry about that...

... you might be a racist.
“So I’ll say it again: F–k you racist white people. I said what I said. And if you don’t f–king like it, go suck a d–k. Seriously. If you’re a fan of me and you support my work and you’re racist and you’re arguing with what I was saying, f–k off. You f–king d–kheads,” Boyega wraps up.
