Joe Manganiello, Ariana Grande and Others Cast in 'American Horror Story' Creator's New Series 'Scream Queens'

If you're going to do a horror show, bring on some actors who have already been in one!
Joe Manganiello of "True Blood" fame is one of the slew of actors named today to be in the cast of "Glee" creator Ryan Murphy's "Scream Queens," a comedy-horror anthology show set to premiere this Fall on Fox.
Manganiello was announced to be joining the cast along with "Glee" star Lea Michele, "Zombieland" star Abigail Breslin, Disney star Keke Palmer, and pop star Ariana Grande.
Manganiello and Breslin obviously have some horror-comedy experience, and Michele could be explained away as being a Ryan Murphy favorite (who will be available since "Glee" finishes up this year), but the addition of Palmer and Grande is telling.
It would seem, considering all the musical talent, that "Scream Queens" will involve at least a moderate musical element, if not a heavy one. As of yet, the show is mostly being called "comedy-horror" with no mention of music, but don't be surprised if it turns out to be a little like this season of "American Horror Story" and feature some songs as well.
The show, which has a 15-episode order from Fox, will center on a college campus that is terrorized by a string of murders. The show is being called an anthology, which means that it will likely feature new characters and locations in every new season, should it be renewed.
