Britney Spears Can Take 'Pee' and 'Poo' But Not Live Interviews
by Elizabeth SextonAside from live interviews, Britney Spears is not afraid of much these days – especially “poo” and “pee.”
A fact she confirmed Tuesday night on Kimmel when he aired a clip of Spears going into the Jackass porta-potty.
As the porta-potty bungees to the sky, Britney screams and gets covered in liquid.
The footage from “Jackass 3D” was shared by birthday boy Johnny Knoxville as he chatted with Kimmel.
Later, a clean Spears gave another performance of her new songs.
While Britney continues to plug her new album “Femme Fatal,” one reporter is not a fan of her interview rules.
As Entertainment Weekly reports, Carson Daly is speaking up about it. Despite having known Spears for approximately half her life, Daily was asked to do a pre-taped interview with her and submit it for approval and editing before airing it.
“I was jst TOLD my @britneyspears interview tomm on @ampradio MUST b pre-recorded & submitted 4 approval by HER mgmt b4 it can air! F THAT! never that restricted. Even when I interviewed Michael Jackson, it wasn’t anything like this…it’s really insane,” Daily tweeted.
To one tweeter who called him “unprofessional,” Daly replied: I’M UNPROFESSIONAL? FAKING AN ENTIRE INTERVIEW? jst shocked her mgmt won’t let her do a normal interview. She probly doesn’t even know. I’ve known and supported her since she was 15. This has nothing to do w her. Just her ppl.”
He further explained to another tweeter, that it wasn’t the pre-recording issue that upset him. It was the fact that her management takes it and edits the tapes overnight.
Perhaps Daly should feel lucky. Some reporters are being granted email-only interviews.
