Jimmy Kimmel Gives 'Sesame Street' the 'Unnecessary Censorship' Treatment

Jimmy Kimmel Gives 'Sesame Street' the 'Unnecessary Censorship' Treatment "Sesame Street" is a great way for kids to learn everything from their ABC's to big vocabulary words.

But what about swear words?

Thanks to "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" that might also be on the educational agenda.

Kimmel showed off a very special edition of the ongoing segment "Unnecessary Censorship" last week to celebrate the 45th anniversary of "Sesame Street."

In the sketch, "Sesame Street" characters are bleeped at opportune times to make it sound like the fuzzy, friendly stars of the long-running kid's show are swearing up a storm.

We'll admit that we never thought we'd hear Snuffleupagus say those things, but we're not totally surprised at Cookie Monster's choice of language. That guy gets a little exciteable. It was only a matter of time until he slipped up on camera.
