Jimmy Kimmel Blasts United Airlines

Jimmy Kimmel tore into United Airlines on Monday's Jimmy Kimmel Live! after video was spread showing security officials forcibly dragging a passenger off a flight.

The airline said the flight was overbooked as it tried to depart from Chicago's O'Hare International Airport, and volunteers were asked to come forward to leave the airplane. When no one came forward, four random passengers were told they had to leave.

The video, widely shared after the incident Sunday, shows several guards grabbing a man from his seat (which he refused to leave), shoving him across the armrest and dragging him down the aisle as fellow passengers decried his treatment.

“That’s how my mother used to have to get me out of bed to go to school," Kimmel joked, watching the video. "I don't even understand this, by the way. I've been to 100 games in stadiums with 50,000 seats, they never sell the seat two times to one person, but for some reason, airlines cannot figure this out."
