Jimmy Fallon's Anatomy: Fallon Undergoes Surgery on 'The Dr. Oz Show'

Jimmy Fallon's Anatomy: Fallon Undergoes Surgery on 'The Dr. Oz Show' Move over Patch Adams, Wednesday’s "Dr. Oz Show" will feature a does of medicine and comedy when Dr. Oz performs surgery on Jimmy Fallon.

In turn, Fallon will get a chance to play doctor by assisting Dr. Arthur Perry while he performs laser surgery on Dr. Oz.

With 30 Rock studios facing each other, Fallon (wearing only a hospital gown) didn’t have far to travel when arriving on the set for Dr. Oz and an on-the-air mole removal.

As the doctors made incisions on sutures, Jimmy looked the other way and sang verses of the National Anthem. Dr. Oz had examined the mole previously on an episode of "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon."

“The audience was being really nice, acting like nothing was happening. It was like a ‘Saved By The Bell’ episode, they kept saying whoa. I said, ‘Please make different sound effects, you guys. Just laugh at it, please. Whatever’s really painful (to watch), just laugh,’” Fallon said

After the mole removal, Jimmy helped hold the laser for an under-eye scar removal on Dr. Oz. The origins of the scar, a childhood wound, were contested on the show by Oz’s sister Seval who insisted she never threw a rock at her brother’s face.

Jimmy helped mediate the argument. After things settled down, Seval stayed offering support.
