Jimmy Fallon Paying Week-Long Pink Floyd Tribute With Pearl Jam, MGMT, The Shins

For any act that came up loving Pink Floyd, it truly might be like going to the Great Gig in the Sky.
According to Billboard, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" will spend the entire next week honoring the trippy legacy of Pink Floyd. And it'll be a diverse bunch of tune-smiths stopping by to cover some of the band's catalogue.
Monday, the Shins will drop in and perform "Breathe" from Dark Side Of The Moon, and Pink Floyd member Nick Mason will be a guest.
Tuesday, not only will founding member Roger Waters sit down to chat with Fallon, but he'll also join rockers the Foo Fighters to cover "In The Flesh" from The Wall.
MGMT will stop by Wednesday, when they perform from The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn, "Lucifer Sam."
Thursday should prove conclusively that the band's sound didn't just touch and influence today's rock acts, when country star Dierks Bentley stops by to perform "Wish You Were Here."
Finally, Pearl Jam will close out the week-long tribute Friday when they perform "Mother" from The Wall.
It's all in the name of great timing, too: the week-long homage coincides with the band releasing re-mastered versions of their entire 14-album studio catalogue, a deluxe 16-CD set of those releases and finally, a six-disc set devoted just to celebrating Dark Side Of The Moon.
