Jimmy Fallon and Michelle Obama Groove in 'The Evolution of Mom Dancing'
by Shannon KeirnanTo ease you into another long week of the mundane, enjoy a video of Jimmy Fallon dancing… with the first lady.
Yes, that’s right. To help promote her campaign, Let’s Move, which encourages moms to get out there and get moving with their children, Mrs. Obama herself appears in the short clip from "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon."
Did you know? The First Lady can dance.
Obama and Fallon start out slow, with some basic rhythms in the clip, entitled “The Evolution of Mom Dancing.”
They present:
The “Go Shopping, Get Groceries.”
The “Raise the Roof.”
The “Hip Bump.”
The “Sprinkler.”
The “Happy Snapper.”
The “Just the Hands Part of Single Ladies.”
The “Where’s your Father? (Get Him Back Here!)”
The “Reel It In.”
The “Shake Your Hips Twice to the Same Side.”
The “Pulp Fiction.”
The “Oh, My God! I Love This Song!”
The “Driving the Station Wagon.”
The “Out of Sync Electric Slide.”
Finally, on Michelle Obama’s ridiculously amazing rendition of The “Dougie,” Fallon gives up. No one can compete with that incredibly shiny hair and shockingly smooth hip bumping.
Let’s Move is Obama’s “comprehensive initiative… dedicated to solving the challenge of childhood obesity within a generation, so that children born today will grow up healthier and able to pursue their dreams. Combining comprehensive strategies with common sense, Let's Move! is about putting children on the path to a healthy future during their earliest months and years. Giving parents helpful information and fostering environments that support healthy choices. Providing healthier foods in our schools. Ensuring that every family has access to healthy, affordable food. And, helping kids become more physically active."
"The physical and emotional health of an entire generation and the economic health and security of our nation is at stake,” Obama has said.
