Jill Duggar of '19 Kids and Counting' Marries
by Shannon KeirnanJill Duggar, one of the many children belonging to "19 Kids and Counting" stars Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, married on Saturday.
It was a big day for the 23-year-old for many reasons. Duggar also recieved her first kiss ever from her new husband.
Duggar married Derick Dillard, whom she met through Jim Bob. Dillard, 25, connected with Jill's father while doing missionary work in Nepal. Duggar and Dillard began dating officially in November of last year, and announced their engagement last spring.
When the two became engaged, their strict faith allowed them to finally hold hands.
We're really just trying to keep our relationship not on the physical but really just more on communication and continuing to learn more about each other," Duggar has said, adding that their first kiss and "things beyond that" were for marriage.
The two wed in front of over 1,000 guests in Springdale, Arkansas, and are planning to honeymoon at an undisclosed location. Of course the huge Duggar family got to be involved in the wedding - Jill had five sisters as bridesmaids, five brothers were ushers, a brother and a nephew were ring-bearers, and sisters and a niece were flower girls.
"I am the most blessed man to have Jill," says Dillard.
Congratulations to the two - and enjoy your honeymoon!
