Jessica Simpson On Losing the Baby Weight
by Shannon KeirnanAfter giving birth to baby Maxwell, “Dukes of Hazzard” actress and singer Jessica Simpson is back to looking pretty darn sexy.
The lady reportedly packed on a hefty amount of weight during her pregnancy, estimated at about 70 pounds—ever so slightly more than is recommended.
“I let myself indulge in everything I wanted because it was the first time I was ever pregnant, and I wanted to enjoy it,” she said of the weight gain.
Hey, if ever one needs an excuse to stuff face, growing an extra person inside you is one not many people can argue with.
Simpson has been following the Weight Watchers guidelines and meeting with a trainer four to five days a week to get back her famous body.
“I didn’t realize [the weight] didn’t all come off with the baby,” she says on the struggle. “My body is not bouncing back like a supermodel. I’m just your everyday woman who is trying to feel food and be healthy for her daughter, her fiancé and herself.”
Well spoken.
Because Simpson’s not known for her eloquence but appreciated for her silly candor, she added (of course) that she is participating in mostly walking, not jogging, exercises, because her breasts are still so large she anticipates “two self-induced black eyes” should she make the attempt.
There we are, that’s the girl we know and love and tease about tuna.
Her biggest concern about the change? That she’s had to cut out macaroni and cheese as a part of the weight-loss regimen.
“It’s better to not have it at the moment,” she said regretfully.
Girl, I know that feel.
