Jessica Biel, Reid Scott to Join 'New Girl'

As Jessica Day re-enters the dating pool on "New Girl," she'll find some very sexy competition during her spree.

In her first television appearance since "7th Heaven," Jessica Biel will be playing a romantic rival, as both she and Jess goes after handsome "Veep" actor Reid Scott.

The season four premiere will boast the good-looking guest stars. Jess (Zooey Deschanel) has her attention caught at a wedding by Scott's character, nice guy Ted. However Kat (Biel), honestly descibed as "the hottest scientist in the world," also has her eye on the guy.

"It's the last wedding of the season, and the gang challenges each other to see if each of them can get lucky at the big event. Jess sets her sights on a cute guy at the wedding - only to be taken on by Kat, the hottest scientist in the world."

It'll be some tense competition - and no doubt a difficult, but very lucky, decision for Ted to make. Adorably quirky and sweet vs. the hottest scientist in the world? Which would you pick?

Show creator Liz Meriwether has already announced that Jess will be dating a lot in the upcoming season, since parting ways with Nick Miller (Jake Johnson) in season three. However, odds are it will just lead the two back to each other.

"I love them together and I don't think it's it for them at all," Meriwether admits.
