Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake: Engaged!

The holidays are usually a big time for announcements and personal events for celebrities, as people are usually too busy opening presents and drinking egg nog to pay much attention. Case in point: Russell Brand and Katy Perry split near the holidays.

But there was another big celebrity relationship story during the holidays, one that was quite the opposite of Brand and Perry: according to US Weekly, Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel are officially engaged!

The couple has been on and off for the past four years, and split up in early 2011 after an awkward night on Biel's birthday. Biel is also a noted activist, while Timberlake generally showed less interest, which may have caused problems in the past.

But if there were problems before, apparently the two have worked it out: reports say that Timberlake proposed while the two were in the mountains of Jackson, Wyoming. Fitting, considering Biel's commitment to and love for the environment.

Biel most recently appeared in "New Year's Eve," and landed a role in the reboot of "Total Recall." Timberlake had a big year in 2011, starring in "In Time," "Bad Teacher" and "Friends with Benefits," and is lined up to star in a future Cohen brothers project, "Inside Llewyn Davis."
