Jersey Shore's Snooki's New Year's Plans Scratched

Snooki, aka Nicole Polizzi, will not be the focus of New Year’s in Times Square this year. MTV had convinced Snooki to be a human hamster in a ball that dropped in Times Square. They were trying to steal the thunder from the regular ball drop it seems.

But then the officials at abc and Dick Clark productions found out and put the kibosh on MTV’s plans. They do not have the proper permission for such a stunt and will not be allowed in Times Square if they try and proceed.

Earlier, Snookers told USA Today that the human ball drop will turn her into "a friggin' hamster!"

"It's the first time they've done it. I'm not sure how it's going to work, but I think it'll be fine," she said. "And if not, someone is going to be in big trouble!"

Little did she know it was Snooki and MTV that found themselves in big trouble once the officials who control Times Square on Dec. 31 found out what MTV was planning.

"No way would they allow this to take place. MTV rents a position in the Square that night like every other media outlet. You can't get access to the Square without an official credential. You have to play by the official rules or you get kicked out, which is exactly what has happened to MTV and Snooki," an insider tells me.

So what do you think Snooki is doing? Does she care that she can’t be a hamster ball drop on New Year’s? I would think she might be drunk too really even notice what was going on around her, judging by how she acts on the show!
