'Jersey Shore' Season 6 Premiere Date Announced; 'Snooki & JWOWW' Renewed
by Andy NeuenschwanderAre you jonesing for some more "Jersey Shore?" You'd better hope so, because like it or not that's what MTV is going to give you.
MTV has renewed the spin-off "Snooki & JWOWW" for a second season, despite only moderate success for the show's current run. "Snooki & JWOWW," which of course follows the further misadventures of the two titular guidettes and their poor, unassuming boyfriends, premiered to 2.4 million viewers. That's not a bad number for a cable network, but as compared to the 7.6 million of the "Jersey Shore" season 5 premiere, it's a bit disappointing.
Speaking of the original "Jersey Shore," MTV also announced the premiere date for the show's sixth season today: October 4th. That means there are only two months left before fans can start fist pumping and haters can start pulling their hair out.
However, with cast members getting spinoffs, Snooki getting pregnant and married, everyone getting a little older and their antics getting a little more tired, it might be that "Jersey Shore" season 6 is the last one we see. Of course, we've been saying that since season 4, so it would appear that as long as the show is getting viewers, MTV will find a way to keep it on the air.
