'Jersey Shore' Season 5, Episode 6 Recap - 'The Follow Game'
by Andy NeuenschwanderSitch is still on his vendetta against the girls, assuming that Jionni will care about hearing that Snooki cheated on him with another dude. I mean, he already knows about Vinny. Dude pretty much has a solid bead on things at this point. Sitch does learn an interesting tidbit about Deena's sister, though, and the general grossness continues.
It's so great to have Vinny back at the club, because now we can watch him turn down "a five or a six" and try to go for "a seven or an eight," while keeping the six on standby. Between this and Snooki's UTI, why is this show still on the air? Anyway, Deena valiantly acts as wingwoman.
Snooki, meanwhile, walks home drunk, stumbling around as per usual. "Oh my god I've never been this drunk in my life," she says, clearly having forgotten about all those other times she was drunk.
Vinny thinks that he's converting a lesbian to being straight, which is hilarious (read: misguided and disgusting). Either A.) she's not going to sleep with him or B.) she's not really a lesbian, Vin. Sure enough, she refuses to even come in the house. Self-respect win for the lesbian!
JWoww is mad at Roger for both not calling her and for taking the day off when he always tells her that he can't take the day off. She vents by ranting about it to Snooki, who is still passed out with a giant stuffed bear over her face. Probably just as well. I don't think you want to go to Snooki for relationship advice.
"I need a f**king therapist, and I need AA meetings," says a hungover Snooki. YOU'RE SO CLOSE, SNOOKI! So close to getting help! Follow through! She also tells us that "it's always dark in Arkansas." I... have no words....
The meatballs entertain themselves at work by playing "the follow game," which consists of one of them running around the store while the other follows her. Then they run out the door and their fake boss pretends to be indignant about them not taking their fake job seriously. Then they go to drink, because Snooki has a serious problem.
Danny actually follows them to bring them back to work, and the girls actually go and hide under tables. "Danny is being such an annoying," says Deena, the girl who just ran away from her boss. Then the girls leave again to go drink. "Danny has no control over the meatballs," says Pauly. That's what happens when you can't get fired because your job isn't real.
Shenanigans between the only two entertaining people left on this show, as Pauly starts playing around with Vinny by trying to set him up with ugly girls. Vinny retaliates by inviting Pauly's stalker over to talk to him. The girl has a trucker hat that says "Pauly D" on it. That's dedication.
Pauly and Ronnie actually lecture Deena about skipping out on work, and Deena actually calls Danny to apologize. Which at this point is pretty pointless. But maybe the meatballs will stop being assholes. For a while.
Speaking of assholes, Roger goes off about JWoww when he runs into Pauly and Vinny at the gym. He has a point, though: he doesn't want to be playing games, and it does seem like Jenni has been overreacting to the whole thing. So for now, it looks like that's the drama. Especially because Sitch did approximately nothing. Is the drama gone from this show? What happened this episode? When's Snooki going to die?
