Will 'Jersey Shore' Get Its Mojo Back in Season 5?
by Andy NeuenschwanderThere wasn't a whole lot of fun to be had in Florence in season four of "Jersey Shore." The distance from home and alienation from the surrounding culture left the castmates to bicker among themselves and generally have a rotten time. Even Pauly and Vinny's pranks caused Deena to break into tears and throw things.
It even came to the point that the final few episodes of the season lent themselves almost entirely to painting The Situation as a bad guy, pinning the negativity of the season on him. But as long as Sitch is getting attention, he doesn't seem to care.
So with season five of the Shore premiering tonight, will the crew get their mojo back? "We're hitting the boardwalk hard and [there's] just overall excitement," said JWoww to MTV News. She and the rest of the cast agree that it was a huge relief for them to be back home.
So much so, in fact, that Pauly D and the other guys noted that the drama with Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino more or less disappeared when they got home. We'll see about that: we already know that Vinny left the show for a bit during the shooting of season five, and Sitch stormed off as well.
Tune in tonight at 10pm pt/et on MTV to see how it all plays out!
