Jennifer Garner and daughter Violet had quite the äventyr in Sweden. The actress, 46, and her 12-year-old had to be rescued from a shipping lane in Stockholm after getting lost on a kayak trip.

“On a pre-middle-school sneak away with my eldest,” Garner wrote on Monday, August 6, alongside an Instagram photo of the mother and daughter silhouetted against a sunset.

“Did I get us lost in a kayak? Yes. Did we paddle as hard as we could for 100 hours and end up in a shipping lane? I’m afraid so. 😬 Did we have to be rescued? Yup.”

The Peppermint actress added the hashtags “#thesunsetwasabigupside #shenevercomplained #thankyoumattias #welovedyousweden 🇸🇪.”

The outdoor misadventure is practically a teaser for Garner’s upcoming HBO comedy, Camping, which chronicles a “weekend of tested marriages and woman-on-woman crime” in the wilderness. Per HBO, the Golden Globe winner will play “a controlling L.A. mom who is far less cheerful than her Lululemons imply.”
