Jennifer Garner wants to start next year as an officially single woman.
The “Peppermint” star filed to move her divorce from Ben Affleck from the courts to a private judge in hopes of expediting the split, TMZ reported.
Garner, 46, reportedly wanted to wait until her estranged Oscar-winning husband was sober before finalizing their divorce.
Affleck, 46, recently completed a rehab stint for alcoholism at the luxurious The Canyon at Peace Park in Malibu, Calif., after an intervention from Garner in late August.
Affleck first went to rehab in 2001 and went again in 2017, which he revealed shortly after he was spotted with a detox nurse.
Garner’s filing comes as Affleck was spotted with his 22-year-old Playboy model girlfriend, Shauna Sexton, at his home on Wednesday morning.
Later that day, Affleck was spotted at a business meeting with Warner Bros., possibly to discuss reprising his role as Batman, followed by a recovery meeting.
