Jay-Z and Kanye Hack & Hawk: Duo Tears Maybach Apart, Sets Up Pop-up Shop in NYC (VIDEO)

Following Monday’s iTunes exclusive digital release of “Watch the Throne,” Jay-Z and Kanye West popped up a secret shop in New York City to sell the album in CD format.

Who is still buying CD’s these days, you wonder? Good question, but the Hova business gurus knew that if you build it (and tweet about it), they will come.

Once the news of the storefront hit twitter Friday, fans scurried to 201 Mulberry Street to find a gold wrapped store front that looks just like the album’s Tisci-designed cover art.

As fans report to MTV, the store feels like you are going inside the music. There is even the tricked out (and chopped up) Maybach from the recently premiered “Otis” video, which was directed by Spike Jonze. Fans can catch the lux ride that plays “Otis” on loop through Sunday.

The video, which samples Otis Redding's "Try a Little Tenderness," highlights Jay-Z and Kanye hacking the expensive car into a convertible.
