Javier Bardem: The Next Bond Bad Man

We know who the next Bond girl is (beautiful French actress Bérénice Marlohe), what the tentative title of the movie is ("Skyfall") and now we officially know who Bond will be battling - Academy Award winner Javier Bardem.

We reported on rumors of Bardem's involvement back in January, and the actor has finally confirmed the role.

"They chose me to play this man, but I cannot give you many details," Bardem told ABC's "Nightline"

Here's what we know so far. Besides having a solidified Bond girl and title, Daniel Craig will definitely be returning as James Bond, alongside Dame Judi Dench (as M) and Naomi Campbell (as Moneypenny). Sam Mendes will be directing a screenplay Neal Purvis, Robert Wade and John Logan, and reports have the script picking off where the previous film, "Quantum of Solace," left off.

Bardem won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role as the "emotionless, compassionless killing machine" Anton Chigurh in “No Country for Old Men," in one of the most cold-blooded and ruthless bad man performances in recent history. To see him bring that kind of talent for portraying evil to the legendary Bond franchise should be a wonder to watch.

"I am very excited, my parents took me to watch the movies, and I saw all of them, and to play that is going to be fun," said Bardem.
