Jason Sudeikis Shows Us How An American Football Coach Would Coach Soccer in England

Jason Sudeikis Shows Us How An American Football Coach Would Coach Soccer in England America is in the throes of World Cup Fever, what with the USMNT poised for a potential advancement to the next round. But not everyone is on the soccer bandwagon.

This hilarious sketch from NBC Sports imagines what would happen if a former American football coach was brought over to England to coach a team that plays the "other" kind of football.

Here, the coach is played by former "SNL" cast member and "We're the Millers" star Jason Sudeikis, whose character is hired to coach Tottenham Hotspur, or as he calls them in his twangy southern accent, the Tottenham Spurs.

The result is amazing, especially as Sudeikis sits in on a fake press conference to talk his new career in soccer, which he clearly knows nothing about.

"My job just got a lot easier," he says after learning about some of the rules of the game. "Ties, and no playoffs. Why do you even do this?"

Even better is some of the footage of Sudeikis on the sidelines, coaching practice. "Offsides?!" he yells at a referee. "Explain to me how that's offsides. No serious, explain offsides, it makes no sense."
