Jason Biggs Apologizes for Tweeting Joke About Crashed Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 This might be the very definition of "too soon."

Jason Biggs, known for his roles in the "American Pie" series and "Orange is the New Black," is facing some serious criticism after tweeting out a joke about the Malaysia Airlines flight that crashed today in Ukraine, killing all 295 people on board.

"Anyone wanna buy my Malaysian Airlines frequent flier miles?" Biggs tweeted this morning at about 9:41am, very shortly after news broke about the crash.

As one would imagine, Biggs was immediately met with criticism from his Twitter followers, some arguing that it was "too soon" for the joke, others arguing that any joke concerning the death of 295 people will always be in bad taste.

Biggs didn't make anything easier for himself by responding with some angry tweets.

"Hey all you ‘too soon’ assholes- it’s a f—ing joke. You don’t have to think it’s funny, or even be on my twitter page at all," he wrote. "The idea that I wouldnt have any empathy 4 the victims or their families because I make a joke is absolutely ridiculous. U know that, right? Truly- you losers are literally trying to find shit to get angry about. Channel your issues elsewhere."

But many hours later, around 4:18pm, Biggs got back on Twitter, deleted the previous tweets, and wrote a few more in apology.

"Hey all- ok, so- I am deleting my previous tweets," he wrote. "People were offended, and that was not my intent. Sorry to those of you that were."

"This is obviously a horrible tragedy, and everyone-including myself- is sad and angry about it," he continued. "Sending positive thoughts to the victims and their families. P.S. No one is making me send these tweets- I simply understand that my comments might have come off as insensitive and ill-timed. For that, I apologize."
