Janelle Evans Marries After Two-Week Engagement

Janelle Evans Marries After Two-Week EngagementTeen Mom 2” star Janelle Evans has married in record time.

After announcing her engagement to Courtland Rogers just weeks ago, the two have made it official in a pretty lackluster court ceremony, without the presence of any friends or family. The couple, who have been dating three months, wed in the local magistrate’s office directly following Rogers’ felony hearing regarding accusations of obtaining property by false pretenses.

How romantic.

Evans’ sister Ashleigh is the one who broke the news about the Tuesday wedding, telling reporters "My mother was totally shocked and had to hear it from someone else. Our whole family is shocked because they have not been dating very long. I'm sure she did this to distract from all the drug accusations that have been flying around and of course she thinks it will help her get custody of [her three-year-old son] Jace back from mom if she is married. At this point, after all that she has been through, she should know better than this."

It has been suggested that Evans might be hoping, if wed to Rogers, she won’t have to testify against him in court—unfortunately that’s not the case in North Carolina. Since the crime happened before the marriage, Evans can still be called to the stand.

This isn’t the first time the troubled star has thought she found The One, either. In May, she broke off her engagement to Gary Head, and reunited with long-time trouble-making ex Kieffer Delp.

Concern that the young lady might be back on drugs is circling after Evans’ recent release from the hospital. While Internet rumor has it that Evans overdosed on heroine, Evans insists she had emergency surgery to remove ovarian cysts. She also added that she had “lung work” done to help remedy damage done while smoking marijuana from wooden pipes.

However witnesses who saw Evans noted at court that she had lost around thirty pounds, and Rogers picked at facial scabs during the proceedings—often a symptom of withdrawal.

Initial rumor was that Evans had married Rogers so quickly because of another unexpected pregnancy, but she dispelled that myth by posting pictures of her flat stomach.

"I'm not and Courtland did not say anything about getting me pregnant or having kids anytime soon. Over my dead body if I would be that selfish to have a baby before getting Jace back,” she has said.
