'Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution' Pulled Off the Air by ABC, Replaced with More 'Dancing With The Stars'

'Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution' Pulled Off the Air by ABC, Replaced with More 'Dancing With The Stars' It's a sad day for health enthusiasts, and a great day for the Los Angeles school district: "Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution" has been pulled by ABC.

The show, which focuses on British chef Jamie Oliver as he attempts to educate families and schools about proper eating habits and better nutrition, has suffered low ratings in its second season.

So ABC pulled the show from the schedule today and announced that it will be replaced with a "Dancing with the Stars" recap show on Tuesday nights.

ABC notes that it is still committed to Oliver's campaign for better health in our children's schools, and will still air the remaining four episodes. Those last episodes of "Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution" will air in the summer.

I've seen the show, and although I think Oliver can be a little condescending sometimes, his heart is really in the right place. This is clearly an issue that he cares deeply about, and anyone who is that passionate about helping children to eat right and grow up healthy deserved some TV airtime in my book.

I was always surprised, though, that the show got any viewers in the first place...it seems unlikely that anyone would want to tune in to primetime TV and be reminded of how serious a problem obesity is in our country. Then again, Oliver always manages to make things uplifting toward the end, so maybe that's the saving grace of "Food Revolution."

Did you watch the show? Will you be sad to see it go?
