James Wolk of 'Lone Star' to Appear in Multi-Episode Arc on 'Shameless'...Will He Be Fiona's New Love Interest? The season one finale of "Shameless" saw Fiona (Emmy Rossum) having to make a difficult decision about going to Costa Rica with on-and-off love interest Steve (Justin Chatwin). That leaves Fiona's love life, a major element of the Showtime hit, a bit up in the air for season two. But some new casting news might answer a few questions.

James Wolk has been cast in a multi-episode arc on "Shameless," playing the role of Adam. According to THR, Adam is "an investment executive who makes a connection with Fiona." What kind of connection that is remains to be seen, but Rossum and Wolk are right in the same age range, and considering the tendencies of "Shameless" to get Emmy Rossum topless, chances are good there will be a love connection going on there.

Wolk is a relative newcomer to the Hollywood scene, but has already landed a few major roles. He appeared in the Kristen Bell comedy "You Again" and broke onto the scene in the Hallmark TV movie "Front of the Class," where he gave a powerful performance as a teacher who struggled with a debilitating stutter.

Wolk is best known for his starring role in the short-lived but critically-acclaimed Fox series "Lone Star." The show was cancelled in the fall a few episodes in due to low ratings, but critics were positive about the show and Wolk's performance, some calling him "a young George Clooney." Wolk was also set to star in the ABC pilot "Georgetown," which was not picked up.

As for what Wolk's role in "Shameless" means for Fiona and Steve, we'll have to wait and see.
