Jack Osbourne's MS Diagnosis Fueled Sister Kelly's Relapse

Everything considered, the have been far worse motivators behind an addict's relapse.

Kelly Osbourne told RadarOnline recently that her brother Jack's recent multiple sclerosis diagnosis pushed her over an edge and into her recent mid-flight alcoholic relapse. The daughter of hard rock (and hard-living) legend and cautionary tale Ozzy Osbourne and wife Sharon was helped by an assistant off a June 19 flight from Los Angeles to Atlanta after being spotted downing four or five alcoholic beverages during her travels.

Kelly spent a 2009 stay in rehab for abusing painkillers, but in 2010 claimed that she swore off alcohol as well after completing the program.

From Kelly's account, it would seem a well-meaning stranger might have unwittingly tipped the first domino. She claims that a man approached her before boarding to express his sympathies for Jack and share the story of his brother's battle with the disease. During the flight, she visited a website toward which the concerned gentleman had pointed her.

"It described how bad certain cases of MS got, and it made me lost it because I've sat through my mother having breast cancer, my dad almost dying from a bike accident, and now it's my brother, who's my best friend," she shared. "I lost it.

"I don't think it's fair for me to lie," Kelly said, owning up. "I'm not going to say I didn't do something when I did it."

Though she didn't intimate that ever incidence has spiraled her downward that far, she neither claimed the stress was a valid excuse nor that it was the only time she's slipped into drinking since her rehabilitation. She did take a timely swipe at Lindsay Lohan's seeming inability to keep a drop out of her mouth.

"I'm not one of those starlets that's drinking vodka out of a water bottle thinking no one knows. If I'm going to have a f**king drink, I'm 27 years old. I'm going to have one," Kelly said. "Unfortunately, I decided to have one on a plane to Atlanta and burst into tears."

Following a recent traffic accident on California's Pacific Coast Highway, police allegedly removed a water bottle containing vodka from the trunk of Lohan's rented Porsche.
