Inside Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's Honeymoon: Get the Details on Their Castle Getaway
by Andy NeuenschwanderWe showed you Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's glam wedding, complete with a pre-party at the palace of Versailles...but what about their honeymoon?
According to E! News, the couple hopped over to Ireland to celebrate after their nuptials, presumably to find some peace and quiet away from the busy major cities in Europe. In fact, the couple went out of their way to sequester themselves, booking a stay at Castle Olivier, a private mansion in Ireland's County Limerick.
The price tag on that rental: $34,000 per week, or about $4,855 a night.
However, Kim and Kanye aren't just holing up in a castle for their whole stay, nor are they even honeymooning alone: Sources say that the couple went out for a bicycle tour in the early morning, and took four members of their entourage with them.
The wedding and honeymoon were undoutedly expensive affairs, but there's one place where the couple saved money. Originally, reports were saying that singer Lana Del Rey accepted multiple millions of dollars to sing a song at the wedding. However, when asked about the performance, Lana claimed that she sang for free, saying that she wouldn't ask a friend to pay her to perform at their wedding.
While the wedding and honeymoon themselves were not filmed for the family's reality show, Kim has claimed that everything leading up to the wedding was filmed and will air on the show. "Keeping Up with The Kardashians" returns with a new season on June 8.
