Inception picked as top movie of 2010

The movie database recently released its annual top 25 movies for 2010 and its top 25 stars for 2010, as voted by its users.
When it came to the top 25 movie Leonardo DiCaprio, star of movies such as Titanic and The Beach, enjoyed great success with two of his movies featuring in the top ten.
The sci-fi hit Inception made number one movie of 2010 on the annual list of top movies from IMDB. The movie is about a group of people that are able to enter the minds of others to uncover corporate secrets.
At number 7 of the list was another DiCaprio movie, Shutter Island.
The top five movies in the list included three animated movies, which were Toy Story 3, which came in at number two, How to Train Your Dragon, and Tangled. The top 5 was completed with the Facebook based drama The Social Network.
The person that took top spot in the top 25 stars of 2010 was Johnny Depp, star of movies including Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, the Pirates of the Caribbean series, and Sweeney Todd, amongst others.
An official from IMDB said: "Our 100 million unique users every month give us a broad selection." He added: "This is one way IMDB can help users discover films that they may not otherwise have known about. We are great at being able to highlight films for users independent of box office success."
