'How I Met Your Mother' Season 7, Episode 11 Recap - 'The Rebound Girl'

'How I Met Your Mother' Season 7, Episode 11 Recap - 'The Rebound Girl' This show is on fire, people. On fire! Each week brings a new shock or amazing moment or pretty darned funny storyline. And most of them have to do with Barney, which is awesome.

This week, it was all about "The Rebound Girl," but that girl isn't who you think it is. You see, Barney and Ted are both having a pretty hard time (can't stress that enough), considering their recent missteps with the other gender.

That has them both wondering if they should just give up girls, and marveling at how much it would "kick ass" to be gay, which is funny because Neil Patrick Harris actually is gay, and he seems to be having a pretty kick-ass time of it.

That leads the conversation toward the subject of kids, and Barney reveals that he wants to have them. So he and Ted hatch a plan: they'll be "bro parents!" Just a couple of straight dudes who are friends, raising a baby with their two hot nannies, one of whom is for banging and the other of whom is for childcare and also for banging.

Ted isn't convinced that it's a great idea, but when Barney shows up with a baby(!) and the two of them find themselves surrounded by a crowd of women, Ted starts to change his tune.

Eventually we find out that Barney has just been babysitting little Hurricane--er, Sadie for his brother James, who has some words of advice for Ted: it's worth the wait to find the person you're supposed to start a family with. But, as Barney says, the waiting "gets pretty tough."

Marshall and Lily's storyline about considering a move into the Long Island house is a little less eventful, but nonetheless has some nice moments. Marshall's Ghostbusters sign is pretty great, and the fact that the apartment continually shrinks as the two of them consider the nice, spacious house is a cute touch. Robin has some nice moments of crazy, too.

But things don't get truly interesting with Robin until the very last moment of the episode, where she and Barney make amends right before she makes a startling reveal: "I'm pregnant." Is it Barney's? There hasn't really been a ton of time that's passed since their hookup, so it might be too soon for her to know, but it certainly has some dramatic implications either way. Whom is Barney going to marry? Whom, I ask?!

Other notes:

-Options for the house: sell it; year-round haunted house; chimp sanctuary; destroy it with sledgehammers; live in it, then destroy it with sledgehammers as a family

-"If you were a girl, you would have cut bangs and started dating you by now"

-"Nope. That's the line. We found the line."

-"Except dibs on the third nanny good day!"

-"HAVE YOU NEVER HEARD OF OVERHEAD LIGHTING?!"
