How I Met Your Mother Season 6 Episode 11 The main characters of the comedy How I Met Your Mother are Marshall Eriksen, Barney Stinson, Lily Aldrin, and Robin Scherbatsky.  In season 6 episode 11 titled, “The Mermaid Theory”, the show displayed the new friendship between Ted and Zoey. They want to contradict the popular notion that married women and men cannot become friends.

They also invite “The Captain”, Zoey’s husband to spend some time with them. Zoey plans to take a trip to a retrospective. Then Lily starts to discuss about the basic rules a single man should follow while hanging out with any married woman. The first rule is avoiding any place that has got something to do with candles. The second important rule is not sharing any food and never making the mistake of lying to your spouse.

Marshall confesses that unless you are old friends, it is quite hard to remain just friends with any single individual of the opposite sex. Marshall and Robin plan to hang out with each other and have a dinner together. Sadly, they realize in course of the dinner that they little things in common. Sports, cold weather are two topics of their insipid discussion.

Marshall finally admits that “The Mermaid Theory” is the real reason behind their lack of conversation. The more desperate the men become, they envisioned the common women as attractive half-woman and half-fish. On the other hand, Ted hangs out with the Captain on a boat and falls overboard.

Though a drunken Marshall thinks that Robin is developing into a mermaid, the mood is spoilt when she accidentally pukes on Marshall’s shoes. Then, sadly she turns into a manatee again.

How I Met Your Mother is just a great program that makes you laugh each time and makes you feel nostalgic about your happy days gone by!
