'Hunger Games': The On-Set Accident That Sent Jennifer Lawrence to the Hospital!

You would think that preparing to play Katniss in "The Hunger Games" would probably be pretty fun: you get to learn how to use a bow and arrow, after all. But it wasn't all fun and games for Jennifer Lawrence.

Lawrence had to go through a tough training phase before shooting began, and for six weeks she learned to climb, shoot, do stunts, and apparently run up walls. Apparently Katniss will be doing some Matrix-style stuff in "The Hunger Games," because Lawrence was trained to do wall runs, which involve running at the wall as fast as you can and running up or along it.

"I ran at it and my foot didn’t go up, so I caught the wall with my stomach," explained Lawrence to THR. "My trainer thought I had burst my spleen."

Lawrence was rushed to the hospital and had to undergo a full CAT scan in order to make sure nothing was broken or ruptured. Thankfully, she was just badly bruised and healed up pretty quickly. The ultimate irony was that this major injury came on the very last day of Lawrence's training.

And that didn't even involve any fireballs or land mines...
