The 'House of Cards' Season 3 Trailer Is Here!
by Andy Neuenschwander
It ain't easy being the Commander In Chief, especially if you had to murder your way to the top.
The "House of Cards" season 3 trailer premiered during last night's Golden Globe Awards show (conveniently right after Kevin Spacey won an award for his role), and when the Netflix show returns later this year, you can expect a lot of trouble for the most powerful couple in the country.
The trailer is a montage of quick glimpses at the new season, with our antihero Frank Underwood providing some voice-over. "You know what takes real courage?" he asks. "Holding it all together when the stakes are this high."
A few interesting images from the barrage stand out: a military funeral, Frank in the Situation Room, Frank holding out a handshake offering to a man who looks a lot like Vladimir Putin. Then there's a man (who definitely isn't Frank) kissing Claire in public, and a couple of shots of the hacker who put Lucas behind bars.
At the end of it all, Claire doesn't seem thrilled with the way things turned out. "We're murderers, Francis," she says.
"We're survivors," Frank responds.
But the most important question still remains unanswered: Is Doug Stamper okay?
