Horrible Pirated Subtitles Make 'The Avengers' A Little Bit Better

Get it straight right now, folks: whatever your argument or self-righteous stance about "Hollywood greed," piracy is against the law of the land. Would that it were to run overly rampant, the entertainment that becomes our escapes couldn't come to be. Just pay for things.

That being said....

Lord Almighty, Disney and Marvel, you could have such an opportunity on your hands.

The Tumblr blog Like A Waking Nightmare has showcased hilarity that tacks a new degree of enjoyment onto "The Avengers": the horrendously translated, not-even-approximately-close translated subtitles found on a Chinese pirated copy of the current third-highest-grossing movie of all time. If Marvel and Disney really want to get one up, then Disney's every resource should be thrown behind tracking down this particular copy and paying whatever sum is demanded to procure it.

A gag subtitle track of these hilarious translations included on legitimate commercial copies could be a DVD or Blu-ray special feature never to be equaled.

Now, in linking to these, 411mania.com writer Jeremy Thomas claimed that the best of the bunch is Loki - or, as he's referred to throughout the subtitles, "Rocky" - when asked by Captain America "How do you afraid of lighting" apparently responding "I do not like the thunder guy." I had to disagree.

Arguably the funniest might be a shot of a shirtless Mark Ruffalo with the caption "bare ass green big man." Yes. He sure is, Movie.
