'Honey Boo Boo' Parents Mama June and Sugar Bear Are 'Spending Time Apart'

Say it ain't so!

One of television's most strangely named couples, Mama June and Sugar Bear of "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" fame, are spending some time apart.

The news broke via a statement from TLC, released on behalf of Mama June. "Sugar Bear and I have decided to take some time apart to figure out some things in our relationship," it read. "We are taking things day by day, but regardless of what happens, the girls will always be our number one priority. We want to thank y'all for your support."

Mama June and Sugar Bear have been together for roughly a decade. The two have one daughter together (the show's namesake, Alana a.k.a. Honey Boo Boo) and care for June's other three daughters.

The couple never married, though they did have a "commitment ceremony" on their show, a sort of faux-wedding/vow renewal minus any original vows to remove. The ceremony was memorable due to the outfits for the couple, which consisted of camo print and hunter's orange fabrics for a wedding gown and tuxedo.

At the time, Mama June talked about love in an interview with People. "Never settle for a man who doesn't treat you right," she said. "If a guy doesn't love everything about you, move on! There are plenty of other fish in the sea."
