Honey Boo Boo Not a Fan of Being on T.V.
by Shannon KeirnanPoor Alana. Is fame becoming too much of a burn-out for the young “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” star?
In a short interview with “Celebrity Rehab” host Dr. Drew, the round and sassy pageant star was clearly not in the mood to be interrogated. As Dr. Drew attempts to ask her questions, the little lady took the obvious escape route—and pretended to be asleep.
Mom June Shannon tries to poke and prod her daughter into consciousness, laughing off her stubborn resistance to the chat.
“I know, everyone always wants to talk to you,” Dr. Drew sympathizes as Alana rolls her eyes and groans loudly.
“Is it difficult to be on T.V.?” he continues, but Alana drops her head and begins to snore defensively.
When Mama June finally prompts her to wake, promising that if they get it done, they can go, Alana slaps her arms around, nearly smacking Dr. Drew.
“Do you like being on T.V.?” they ask again.
“NO!” Alana howls.
“You don’t like it? Tell me why, how come,” Dr. Drew prompts.
Alana, fidgeting, snaps, “cuz when fans come up to me, an’ I hate it.”
Mama scoffs, “Yeah, right,” but Alana insists, “Yeah I do!”
Well I’m not sure how that could get any clearer. Since her “Toddlers and Tiara” days Alana has mentioned that she hates pageants and doesn’t want to do them anymore. Or does the blonde princess just need a long nap?
In an interview with Ryan Seacrest Shannon had said, “When Alana says she doesn’t want to do any more T.V., ‘I don’t want to do any more pageants,’ then we’re done.”
Will she stick to her word? Has Honey Boo Boo had enough?
