It All Started With a Tweet: Holly Madison and Jack Barakat Call It Off

The Twitter flirting and on-air Skyping is over for former Playboy playmate Holly Madison and musician Jack Barakat. After dating for 10 months, E!Online reports the two have called it off.

"I can confirm Holly and Jack are no longer dating," a representative for Madison told E!Online. "Their decision to split was both mutual and amicable."

Cupid was flying his arrows across the twittersphere when the two first hooked up.

According to Holly, they met through a friend and when someone retweeted something funny he said, she started following him. The two started tweeting back and forth, which lead to direct messages – and finally the pair exchanged numbers.

Eventually the guitarist for the Baltimore-based All Time Low, came to visit, and the two hit it off.

Given the breakup, is Madison at a new low?

According to PopEater, she seems fine. She was spotted celebrating in Vegas while co-hosting a party at Chateau nightclub with Brody Jenner.

Fans wondering what lucky fellar will escort Madison for Hugh Hefner’s summer wedding to the 24-year old Crystal Harris can stop guessing. Madison previously told Naughty But Nice she will not be attending.

"I feel like the attention should be on them," Madison said. "It shouldn't be about ex-girlfriends showing up and what are their reactions and stuff like that. I think it should be about them."
