Hilary Duff Separates From Husband, Aaron Carter Vows to Get Her Back!
by Shannon KeirnanDisney fans... rejoice?
Hilary Duff, of "Lizzie McGuire" fame, is separating from NHL husband Mike Comrie after three years of marriage... and that's great news to her former flame Aaron Carter.
News of the split in January hit, and recently Carter retweeted a photo of Duff, adding the message, "Don't be that stupid douche that loses the love of your life forever... Like me."
Carter added, "I'll spend the rest of my life trying to better myself to get back to her. I don't care what ANY of you think."
"That tweet just gave me an anxiety attack," he posted on.
Perhaps because it might be up to Duff, and not fans, whether airing this declaration via social media was a good idea or not?
Carter, 26, and Duff, also 26, broke up in 2003 after three years of dating, after pretty believable rumors that Carter was being unfaithful with Lindsay Lohan, also a child star.
"I started dating Hilary on my 13th birthday," Carter reportedly said on an episode of "The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch."
"I was dating her for like a year and a half, and then I just got a little bored. So I went and I started to gettting to know Lindsay, dating Lindsay."
Duff and her husband remain on friendly terms. In a statement released in January, Dugg's rep says the two "have decided to an amicable separation...
"They remain best friends and will continue to be in each others' lives. They are dedicated to loving and parenting their amazing son [Luca Cruz]."
So, can Twitter reunite these two past lovebirds, or will Duff find Carter's open attempts to win her back as tacky as the rest of us? Seriously, dude. At least send her a Facebook message.
